The Claims Management Tribunal is part of the General Regulatory Chamber of HM Courts and Tribunals Service. As part of this process a claims management firm is able to appeal against a decision by the MOJ if:
- The MOJ refuses an application for authorisation
- The MOJ rescinds a company’s authorisation
- The MOJ restricts the firm’s authorisation
- The MOJ issues a fine against the firm
As an authorised firm by the MOJ you have 28 days to submit an appeal with the regulator’s decision. Therefore, it is vitally important that you appeal within the time frame but more importantly put together a proper response based on technical understanding and law, to put forward any case for defense.
