FCA firm resilience information requests

What’s happened?

In March, the FCA’s Client Assets and Resolution department issued an e-mailed resilience information request, using what seems to be a standard set of questions, to firms holding client money and/or asset permissions. The request is believed to focus on CASS firms but could be received by other types of firms.

What do you need to do?

The request explains that the FCA has been reviewing certain firms in the context of their resilience in the event of an economic downturn and goes on to request that specific financial data, some of which relates to client assets, is supplied by email within ten days.
