New FCA data collection platform RegData replaces GABRIEL

What is happening?

RegData is the new FCA collection platform for gathering regulatory data from firms. It replaces the GABRIEL system and is intended to make it easier for firms to submit their data. All firms that currently provide regular regulatory submissions using GABRIEL will need to use RegData.

The first tranche of firms will be moved to RegData over the weekend of 17 and 18 October. Those firms will then complete their regulatory reporting on RegData. Firms will continue to be moved to RegData in the coming months as the FCA moves users across in stages, based on their reporting requirements.

What do you need to do?

All firms will receive direct emails from GABRIEL advising them of their moving date. Three emails will be sent to firms three weeks, five days and one day before they move to RegData. Compliance consultants will receive reminders for every firm that their user account is currently associated with GABRIEL.

Firms will not be able to access RegData until they and their users’ data have been moved across from GABRIEL. Until then, they should continue to report via GABRIEL, using their existing GABRIEL login details.

Users can access a series of videos and step-by-step user guides to take them through each aspect of the new platform. As with GABRIEL, RegData will be accessible from the FCA website.
