We are pleased to announce that our application for Thistle Initiatives Limited to become a member of the Association of Professional Compliance Consultants (APCC) has been successful.
The APCC is the association for compliance consultancies which advise firms regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA) in the UK. The APCC promotes enhanced professional standards and is recognised as the trade association for compliance consultants by the FCA.
Members are required to comply with professional standards; membership is only granted on an annual basis and must be renewed each year.
The APCC’s relationship with the FCA provides member firms, such as ours, with better access to the Regulator; the APCC often works in conjunction with the FCA to pilot or test new initiatives. Being members will support our professional standing and will allow better access to priority advice and information from the FCA and PRA on regulatory themes and new initiatives.
While we are one of the largest consultancies within the APCC membership, we share many of the characteristics of a ‘typical’ APCC member – taking a business-oriented approach and applying regulatory requirements in a practical way. We hope our size and the range of sectors in which we operate may offer some useful perspectives and we look forward to being an active member of the Association.
