Consumer Duty Events For Retail Investment & Mortgage Firms
What has happened?
As firms continue to prepare for the implementation of the Consumer Duty regulation in July 2023, the FCA is supporting them by hosting a series of Live and Local events from 21 February 2023 to 15 June 2023. Aimed at small and medium-sized firms, the events will focus on the application of the Duty to the retail investment and mortgage sectors.
What are the key points?
The two-hour sessions are designed to help small and medium-sized firms understand:
• The background to, and key elements of, the Consumer Duty regulation,
• The areas firms should consider ensuring they are meeting the new requirements.
• How the Consumer Duty regulation applies proportionately, and
• The FCA’s supervisory approach to the implementation of the Consumer Duty
They will include information tailored to the needs of small and medium-sized mortgage and retail investment firms and will offer opportunities for questions.
The registration fee per person per session is £85.
