Early and high growth oversight financial promotions webinar
What has happened?
The FCA’s Early and High Growth Oversight team within Authorisations is hosting a series of webinars to provide firms with an improved understanding of its approach and expectations. This webinar is intended for solo regulated firms that are new to FCA authorisation.
The first webinar, scheduled for 12 October 2022 at 10.00, will explore common financial promotion issues that newly authorised firms can experience. The FCA’s aim is to help regulated firms to anticipate and address potential financial promotion breaches.
The FCA will share examples of some typical concerns around financial promotion uncovered in its Early Oversight work and how it worked with firms to address these. By the end of this session, firms should have a better understanding of how to start out on the right foot, minimise the need for regulatory intervention and provide customers with information that is fair, clear, and not misleading.
