MiFID II Services
The Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) is a European regulation that increases the transparency across the European Union’s financial markets and standardises the regulatory disclosures required for firms operating in the European Union.
We have identified MiFID II’s key requirements and created a dedicated health check tool. Question sets within this tool focus on the main implementation activities around MiFID II, enabling you to evaluate how you’re doing and see what more you need to do. For any areas requiring further work, we can assess the progress you’ve made so far and provide you with a next-stage plan of action.
Our MiFID II health check tool is split into two stages. The first involves a discussion between our consultants and key members of your team. This involves talking through a set of questions covering key areas such as updating your procedures or ensuring relevant staff are aware of changes. Supplementary questions go into greater detail on specific topics.
The second stage involves a more detailed analysis of areas identified as needing work based on the outcomes of the first stage. We’ll work with you to review your provisions against the FCA rules and identify specific gaps.
Areas we typically focus on include best execution, RTS 28, RTS 27, costs and charges disclosures, inducements, investment management reporting, advisory reporting, transaction and trade reporting, suitability and appropriateness.
At the end of this process, you’ll receive the outcomes of Stage 1 and 2 and a prioritised action plan that will help focus your MiFID II implementation. We can also provide further support to help you implement your action plan.
